Prague, 10 October 2002 a?" Today, Zivnostenska banka launches its MiniBank, a modern system of GSM Banking, developed in cooperation with T-Mobile. With this service, T-Mobile customers banking with Zivnostenska banka can manage their accounts via their mobile phones. T-Mobile customers can use direct banking in seven banks in the Czech Republic.
a?sWe were the first national operator to start offering the direct banking service in the summer of 1998. T-Mobile still keeps its leading position in this field. Our customers can use direct banking in seven banks. No other national operator provides such an extensive offera?t, says JiL?i Hajek, RadioMobil spokesman.
T-Mobile GSM Banking allows customers to manage their bank accounts actively anywhere and any time just via their mobile phones. Thus, customers can easily gain the latest information about their account balance, payments, and exchange rates, give bankera??s orders (one-off or permanent), or make time deposits. At present, T-Mobile GSM Banking is supported by ASeska spoL?itelna, ASSOB, eBanka, GE Capital Bank, Postovni spoL?itelna, Union banka and Zivnostenska banka.
Direct banking is available for both contract customers and Twist card users. The service is very easy to control. To use the service, customers need to have a SIM card with a banking application (banking SIM card) registered with a particular bank. Customers who still use standard SIM cards can have them exchanged for banking SIM cards in the T-Mobile retail shops for a fee of CZK 400. The existing phone numbers plus phonebook entries will remain unchanged.
T-Mobile customers who have their bank accounts at ASSOB, eBanka, Postovni spoL?itelna and Zivnostenska banka can have a 50% discount when exchanging their standard SIM cards for a banking type. Thus, they will pay CZK 200 only. Moreover, after activating T-Mobile GSM Banking, the bank credits this amount to the customersa?? accounts or provides discounts on its services.
