EDGE already available in 31 cities
More than one third of traffic in the given cities handled using EDGE
Customers may try out fast data for free for one month in the period from June to August

Prague, 31 May 2005 - In the course of last month, another twenty locations were added to the EDGE coverage areas. This means that as of this day, fast data is available in 31 towns and cities in the Czech Republic. At the same time, coverage was also extended in the locations where EDGE had already been available. The popularity of this technology is also confirmed by statistics - more than one third of all data transfers in the covered locations is handled using EDGE. T-Mobile has prepared a special price offer for all users of fast data - during the summer months, they will be able to try out an unlimited connection for a period of one month free of charge.

While at the beginning of May, EDGE was available in ten Czech towns and cities, one month later fast data is already available in the following 31 locations: Bohumin, Brno, Ceske Budejovice, Frydek-Mistek, Havirov, Hlucin, Hradec Kralove, Jablonec nad Nisou, Karlovy Vary, Kladno, Liberec, Napajedla, Olomouc, Opava, Orlova, Ostrava, Otrokovice, Petrvald, Plzen, Praha, Roztoky, Rychvald, Ricany, Stare Mesto, Senov, Slapanice, Teplice, Uherske Hradiste, Usti nad Labem, Vratimov and Zlin. And EDGE coverage keeps expanding.

Traffic-related statistics confirm the quality and popularity of the service: at the beginning of May 2005, 35% of data transfers in the covered locations were performed using EDGE. This figure confirms not only the availability of the service but also the significantly increasing penetration of phones supporting this technology.

In its effort to satisfy the users of mobile data, T-Mobile is not only improving the coverage but also its pricing strategy. In the period from June until the end of August, customers may try out unlimited data transfers using GPRS and EDGE free of charge for one month. Each customer who, in the period from 1 June to 31 August, enters into a new fixed-term contract, extends his/her existing contract or switches from Twist to a tariff under a fixed-term contract, may automatically use unlimited data transmissions at speeds of up to 236 kb/s free of charge for a period of one month. And if satisfied with the connection and its features, customers can ask for the activation of the Unlimited package that provides unlimited data connection for a monthly fee of CZK 699 excl. VAT. Customers can choose from a wide portfolio of GPRS/EDGE-enabled phones or purchase the PCMCIA card for notebooks supporting GPRS/EDGE/WLAN.
