Prague/Louny, 26 October 2005 - The results of the T-Mobile Fund grant programme have become known. Members of the evaluation committees carefully studied the applications for the grant programme which met with great interest. The evaluation committee has selected 46 winning projects from among 166 grant applications. Applicants from Prague 11 and the Hradec Kralove and Louny regions will soon receive cheques in the total value of nearly CZK 2.5 million. The official awarding of funds will take place in the T-Mobile buildings in Hradec Kralove, Louny and Prague.

"We are really pleased about the large number of people who found our programme interesting. We believe that the next round of this programme which is planned for 2006 will also meet with great interest," says Jitka Chocova, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at T-Mobile.

The evaluation committee for the Louny region has decided that a total of 15 projects out of 60 grant applications submitted will receive financial support. The Community Foundation of the Euroregion Labe, which administers the T-Mobile Fund for the Louny region, will thus distribute CZK 797,000 among the winning organizations and associations.

Financial support will be granted particularly to projects which are focused on active integration of seriously disabled people into normal life, rehabilitation of disabled children and activities for senior citizens. The winning projects also include, for example, a project for the reconstruction of the children's section of the Louny Municipal Library and a project for the construction of a new children's playground in the center of Louny.

Financial support will also be granted to the organizers of the unique road race for disabled wheelchair users called European Handbike Circuit Louny 2006, which will take place next year for the fourth time, and to projects focused on the conservation of historical monuments, namely the project for the restoration of the statues of Saint Wenceslas and Saint Jan Nepomucky in Citoliby and the project for the restoration of the chapel in Brinkov.
