EU tariff from T-Mobile: the first and the cheapest

T-Mobile is the first operator to offer an EU-compliant roaming tariff
Calls from the EU countries cost CZK 16.54/min.
"EU roaming rates" apply to Twist users automatically; contract customers can choose
So far, 7,580 customers have asked for the EU roaming add-on

Prague, 2 August 2007 - Starting yesterday, T-Mobile customers are the first in the Czech Republic to be able to use a roaming tariff that complies with EU requirements. Contract customers could apply for the activation of the EU roaming add-on as early as July. Roaming rates within the EU were automatically changed for Twist users effective 1 August. With the new add-on, customers will pay CZK 16.54/min. incl. VAT for outgoing calls and CZK 8.09/min. incl. VAT for incoming calls.

"In July, a total of 7,580 customers applied for the activation of the new roaming add-on, while more than 13,000 customers chose the Cestovatel roaming add-on in the same month," says Jiri Dvorjancansky, Vice President Marketing at T-Mobile. "We expect that customer interest in the new EU roaming add-on will increase in the next couple of weeks."

The EU roaming add-on offers cheaper calls within the 27 countries of the European Union. Outgoing calls are charged at CZK 16.54/min. incl. VAT and incoming calls are charged at CZK 8.09/min. incl. VAT. Other roaming services, such as SMS, MMS, data transmission and calls outside the EU, are charged according to the basic roaming price list (Happy Roaming).

In addition to the new EU add-on, customers can continue to use the popular Cestovatel add-on. Contract customers will thus be able to choose the option that best suits their needs. Cestovatel offers low prices of all services, i.e. not only calls, but also SMS and data transfers. Moreover, it is especially beneficial when making longer calls and will prove particularly useful in Croatia, which is not an EU member state. On the other hand, the new EU roaming add-on offers favorable rates in all EU countries, so it will be useful especially for customers who travel throughout the EU and use their phones mainly for making calls.

Contract customers can activate the EU roaming add-on by sending a text message with ROA A EU to 4603. They will be informed of the activation via a text message. Effective 1 August, Twist users are automatically charged at the rates below for calls made within the EU countries.

Note: This add-on cannot be combined with the other roaming add-ons offered, such as Cestovatel.
