Prague, 7 May 2008 - The biggest Czech music festival, Rock for People, will take place in Hradec Kralove again this year, after last year's premiere there. And t-music will definitely be part of it. The main stars of this year's festival will be Kaiser Chiefs and The Offspring who will perform on a stage sponsored by the t-music stage project and bearing its name. T-Mobile has prepared a number of attractive offers for its customers: discount tickets, free tickets for winners of our SMS competition, a special t-music zone and other events.
T-Mobile is one of the partners of the Rock for People festival this year, supporting it through its t-music promotion project. The festival has recently won the Andel award of the Czech Academy of Popular Music in the category Czech Music Event of 2007 and this year's line-up also looks very promising. The festival will again take place at the former airfield in Hradec Kralove from 3 to 5 July.
"Our t-music stage will bring a number of interesting bands to the festival. While the Kaiser Chiefs and The Offspring will be the main stars, there are some great amateur bands taking part in a competition now which will hopefully make it to the festival too. Tickets available in the Bonus catalogue
All T-Mobile customers enrolled in the T-Mobile Bonus loyalty program can get tickets for the festival in exchange for their Bonus points. All they need to do is pick this option from the Bonus catalogue.
Buying tickets at T-Mobile's eShop is another way to save money; starting 1 May, tickets are available there at the discounted price of CZK 650, compared to the standard price at ticket agencies of CZK 950. This savings of CZK 300 is available to any T-Mobile customer and may be applied to a single ticket only, while supplies last.
SMS competition
Those not able to buy discounted tickets in time can try their luck in our SMS competition. Any T-Mobile customer can enter the competition at www.t-music.cz/rockforpeople, to win two of the 50 tickets up for grabs. And the luckiest of them will get not only tickets but also the chance to meet a selected band backstage.
t-music zone
Apart from sponsoring the t-music stage which will host the biggest stars of the festival, T-Mobile will also provide visitors of the Rock for People festival with alternative entertainment. They can surf the internet free of charge at the special t-music zone, using T-Mobile's Internet 4G. And of course, there will be the traditional recharge corner where visitors can recharge their phone batteries or top-up their Twist credit. People will also be able to play table foosball or get mattresses and raincoats in T-Mobile colors.
T-Mobile customers will also be able to use a free information SMS channel which will supply them with the latest festival information.
"Make your own festival"
Amateur bands have a unique opportunity to perform at the festival. The "Make Your Own Festival" competition is now underway at Stage.cz in which any band that has not yet signed a contract with a producer and has a profile on Stage.cz can participate.
The five best bands will then be selected based on SMS polling for a chance to play on one of the Rock for People stages. The competition runs until 15 May 2008.
t-music
t-music represents all music-related activities of T-Mobile intended particularly for young people for whom music comprises an important part of their lives.
