Prague, September 1st 2008 - Today T-Mobile announces Roisin Murphy, Mr. Oizo, The Orb, Hercules and Love Affair, Junior Boys and Cartonnage will join the mix of exciting artists who will be a part of the next Electronic Beats Festival in Prague on November 14th at the National Gallery for a full night of live music and DJs.
The 2008 series of Electronic Beats Festivals progresses with Roisin Murphy topping the diverse line-up for Prague. Still riding the success of her second solo album, the former Moloko member continues to excite crowds with her innovative disco sounds and electro-pop beats. Her singles ?Let Me Know', ?Overpowered', and ?You Know Me Better', have risen through the European charts while she impresses audiences lucky enough to attend one of her live performances that include a range of on-stage fashion statements.
The Orb, best known for bringing chill out music to the mainstream for the past two decades, will take to the stage to play their ambient house and techno sounds including tracks from their latest album released in February this year. The line-up will also include Brooklyn-based Hercules and Love Affair who have enjoyed immediate success of their March-released first album that blends 1970s disco with futuristic electronic and dance rhythms. And, rounding out the entertaining ensamble of artists are Canadian electro-pop duo Junior Boys, Mr. Oizo and local artists Cartonnage.
This will be the second Electronic Beats Festival in Prague this year after an enthusiastic crowd made the sold-out event a highlight of the series in February. Tickets are now on sale for the advanced ticket price of 350 CZK (?18) until September 30th.
