Twist plans now simpler

  • Simpler range of Twist plans
  • Favourable SMS and calling rates

Prague, 4 January 2010 - T-Mobile has decided to simplify its range of Twist plans in the new year. Therefore, the operator will complete the migration of all users to a more advanced generation of pre-paid plans during the first three months of 2010. After that, T-Mobile customers will be using Twist Start, Twist ProSMS and Twist Tyden; the older plans, namely Twist Standard, Twist SMS and Twist Extra, will no longer be available.

"Our primary aim is to reduce the number of Twist plans to make our offer clearer and more understandable to customers," says Petr Dvorak, T-Mobile's Marketing Director, adding: "In addition, the new generation of tariff plans better reflects the various patterns of mobile phone use - someone who makes a lot of phone calls needs a tariff plan different from the one suitable for a texting fan."

During the first months of 2010, Twist Standard, Twist SMS and Twist Extra will be deactivated; these plans have no longer been offered by the operator for some time. Their users will be automatically transferred to Twist Start, Twist ProSMS and Twist Tyden. Customers can also switch to any other tariff plan that better suits their needs. This change will be free of charge, even if it were normally subject to a fee.

Simpler range of plans, favourable prices of SMS and most calls
In the course of January, customers using Twist Standard, Twist SMS and Twist Extra will receive a SMS informing them that their plan will be changed automatically; the change will then take place during the first three months of the year. The Twist plans will be changed as follows:

Automatic change of plan
Twist Standard Twist Start
Twist SMS Twist ProSMS
Twist Extra Twist Tyden

It is also possible to switch to any other tariff plan that is currently being offered.

The new generation of tariff plans offers greater simplicity for users - it does not distinguish between peak and off-peak calls. It also offers favourable rates of SMS and most calls.

For example, a customer using Twist Start will pay 25% less for calls to other networks (CZK 5.90 vs. CZK 7.90/min.) and 15% less for SMS (CZK 2.90 vs. CZK 3.40/SMS).

Users of Twist Pro SMS can save CZK 0.60 per minute on calls to all mobile and fixed networks (CZK 6.90 vs. CZK 7.50/min.) and CZK 0.10 on each SMS (CZK 1.90 vs. CZK 2.00/SMS).

Twist Tyden also offers more favourable rates, both for calls and SMS. Users will pay CZK 3.50 (instead of 4.50/min.) per calling minute to the TMCZ network or fixed lines at peak times; calls to other mobile networks are also cheaper (CZK 5.90 vs. CZK 6.50/min.). The SMS price is lower as well (CZK 1.90 vs. CZK 2.00/SMS).

Wide range of options
There are more tariff plans to choose from than just the three mentioned above. Those who mostly call their friends - no matter which operator they are using - can use the Twist Pratele plan with attractive rates of calls to five selected numbers (calls for CZK 3.50/min., SMS for CZK 1.50).

For real calling addicts, there is the Twist Maxi plan, offering calls to all networks around the clock for CZK 3.90/min. and SMS for CZK 1.90. The calling and SMS rates under this plan apply for 30 days following a one-off top-up in the amount of CZK 600 or more.

Customers who are considering switching to a contract but are afraid of losing control over their phone bill can try out T-Mobile Combi - a unique prepaid card offering the advantages of post-paid plans. They can choose from four variants based on their "consumption" and, if they commit to regularly top up their account with a specific minimum amount, they will receive extra credit or a phone at a special price. The prices of calls and SMS are comparable to those of post-paid plans - CZK 5.90 or CZK 4.90/min for calls to all networks and SMS for CZK 1.20.

Twist users can also switch to any of the wide range of post-paid plans offered by T-Mobile. Customers can choose both from credit and community plans.

All prices include VAT. For more information, please visit http://www.t-mobile.cz/.
