  • The Slovak ska band releases a new album titled "Horuce casy"
  • The album is available at t-music for a price determined by fans

Prague, 30 April 2010 - The very popular Slovak ska/reggae band Polemic has released a new album titled "Horuce casy" ("Hot Times"). Beginning today, fans can download the album at www.t-music.cz for the price they believe the band deserves, which has proved a very popular sales model. Following the example of Horkyze Slize, Polemic is the second Slovak band featured at t-music.

"The interest bands have shown in cooperating with t-music indicates that they have found a new method of distributing their albums," says Michal Nemec, Vice President Mobile Portal & Content Services at T‑Mobile, adding: "The most successful band so far is clearly Horkyze Slize with the record number of 100,000 downloads, of which approximately 60,000 were album downloads and 40,000 track downloads. If bands truly believed that this method of distribution devaluates their music, as is loudly voiced by certain publishers, they would probably not choose to cooperate with t-music."

After issuing recordings by Wohnout, Vypsana fiXa, Horkyze Slize, Xindl X and Imodium, t-music will please all ska and reggae fans at the end of April with the release of Polemic's new album. Polemic is one of the brightest-shining established stars of this genre on both sides of the Czech-Slovak border. Anyone can download the band's new album to their mobile phones immediately. Moreover, fans will themselves determine the amount they pay for it, which they can do either via a Premium SMS or by bank card.

Formed more than twenty years ago, Polemic had had its most successful year yet in 2009, when they played a record 117 concerts at festivals and in clubs not only in Slovakia but also in the Czech Republic, Poland and the United Kingdom.

Polemic will perform songs from the new album at its May concerts. But we already know that the new album features a unique duet with Kuko, the lead singer of Horkyze Slize, titled "Dobshinsky". The lyrics of this punk-rock song were written by Kuko and it is a typical Horkyze Slize number. However, the duet is not the only surprise on the album, as members of the hip-hop band AMO also make a guest appearance.
