T-Mobile Fund will distribute CZK 2.5 million

Prague, 29 July 2010 - The sixth annual T-Mobile grant program has started; a total of CZK 2.5 million will be distributed this year. The amount designated for supporting projects under "Healthy Planet" topics will be awarded to the regions where T-Mobile's places of business and customer centers are located, i.e. the Hradec Kralove region, the Louny district and the city district of Prague 11.
"Since its establishment in 2005, the T-Mobile Fund has supported 542 projects backed by people who care about the world around us. In total, it has distributed more than CZK 34 million during its existence and I am glad that this year another CZK 2.5 million will be awarded to the regions where we operate," says Jitka Chocova, the Head of Social Corporate Responsibility at T-Mobile.
This year's topic is "The Healthy Planet". Projects supporting a responsible approach to places where we live or enhancing the life of people we share such places with will have the biggest chance to receive a grant; such projects include those supporting local non-profit cultural events, repairs of small cultural sights, local landscape maintenance, enhancement of public areas or green living and transportation. In all cases, these projects will involve community activities organized by local people and which correspond to the specific needs and possibilities in the location and inspire people to be active.
NGOs, organizations receiving contributions from the state budget, municipalities and associations thereof may file an application to participate in the sixth annual grant procedure. The deadline is Friday, 10 September 2010. As in the previous years, the maximum amount of financial support for a single project has been set at CZK 100,000. Projects must be implemented within a one-year period from 15 November 2010 to 14 November 2011.
