T-Mobile launched its 3G network in Zlin and Hradec Kralove

Prague, 28 July 2010 - T-Mobile's 3G network has reached two more cities: beginning today, the operator starts offering high-speed mobile internet access in Hradec Kralove and Zlin. Following Prague, Plzen, Brno, Ceske Budejovice, Olomouc and Pardubice, one of the most world's advanced 3G networks is now available in eight cities in the Czech Republic.
High-speed mobile internet is now available to 87% of the residents of Hradec Kralove and to more 75% of the residents of Zlin. New as well as existing clients can try this new service free of charge. When ordering the Surf+ or Surf&Mail+ add-on, contract customers can browse the internet for one month free of charge. For users of prepaid Twist cards, the operator has prepared a free two-week trial of the Twist Surf+ service. The offer applies to the first activation of these bundles.
Today, T-Mobile has also extended and enhanced the current network coverage in the capital city: 68% of the residents of Prague have now the 3G icon displayed on their mobile phones.
T-Mobile uses the Nokia Siemens Networks technology based on the HSPA standard, which theoretically enables download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps.
This summer, 3G services will also be extended to other regional towns. Residents of Usti nad Labem, Liberec, Ostrava and Karlovy Vary will enjoy fast mobile internet access by the end of September. In total, thirty major towns in the Czech Republic should be covered by the end of this year.
